I believe there is a God who is the author and creator of all we see in the universe including you and I. God is all powerful, all knowing, perfectly just, and eternally loving. I believe that God is, was, and always will be long after this physical universe is gone. I believe that God manifests as three in one; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is outside of the domain of space, time, matter, and energy but is the creator of these elements of the physical universe thus having authority over them.
“But God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.”
When God became human, He came in the man of Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of the world. He lived a sinless life which means He did not conform to any of the evil that was present then and is present now in the world. He died on the cross and shed his blood to pay for our transgressions and shortcomings on behalf of humanity.
“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
The Holy Bible
I believe the Bible is the epic of our existence. We are all part of the greatest story ever told and we live it out every moment of every day. Not only is it a book of lessons and morals of how we ought to live, but it is in fact a message supernatural in its origin; a message from God. I believe there are NO contradictions in what we know today as the bible in it’s original languages and that one can only gain insight, wisdom, knowledge and truth from an intricate study of this book. A clever acronym I’ve heard for the Bible: B.I.B.L.E. (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth)
“It is sixty-six books written by forty authors, written between 1446 B.C. & 90 A.D. But, now we discover that it is an integrated message system from outside our time and space domain.” -Chuck Missler on the bible
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness”
2 TIMOTHY 3:16
I believe that sin is the reason for suffering, pain, destruction, and shortcomings of humanity and creation. Throughout history, man’s mission has been to fix the problems with our existence. Our character defects, our emotional issues, our quest to understand the world around us, our inability to live together on the planet in peace…the core to all of these shortcomings is sin. I believe that sin entered the world through the fallen cherib who deceived Eve to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
“Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin,and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned”
Because of this fallen state of humanity we are born sinners in need of redemption. I believe that the decay and entropy we see in the world is the result of sin entering into creation.
“We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.”
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
“for they loved men’s praise more than God’s praise”
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Salvation Through Jesus Christ
We are all sinners. We are fallen, and we are to die. But I believe that God is a loving and gracious God and because of that, He decided to save humanity from sin to restore humanity to its original intended state of immortality. This is the reason why God sent Jesus Christ to die for our sins. We live in a world where God sacrificed himself to redeem humanity. We indeed have this life, but Jesus promised us that if we believe in him, we will have life to the full; life as it was intended by God. As Chuck Missler so eloquently put it, “‘Those born once will die twice and those born twice will die once.”
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.”
JOHN 11:25, 26
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”
EPHESIANS 2:8, 9
“I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.”
We are told by prophecy that Jesus Christ will return for a second time. Although we do not know when this will take place, I believe the message is to be ready. Upon his return, Jesus will bring to light on all the darkness of this world. He will defeat death once and for all and establish a new heaven and a new earth free of sin in which we will partake and be a part of this new kingdom.
“And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.”
…come Lord Jesus
“There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.”
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free”
